Brussels, 13 October 2022: CEEREAL, the European Breakfast Cereal Association, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Boulova as Executive Director as of 17 October. Ms Boulova has 25 years of experience in similar roles in EU agri-food associations.
“We are delighted that Anna and her team will join CEEREAL at a time where the transition towards sustainable food systems is high on the EU’s agenda,” said Nina Peacock, President of CEEREAL and Head of Public Policy & Government Relations at Kellogg Europe. “With her longstanding experience in EU agro-food policy, Anna will lead CEEREAL to ensure the technical know-how of the breakfast cereals sector is shared with policymakers and stakeholders, while raising awareness of the positive contribution that breakfast cereals make towards healthy and sustainable diets.”

Ms Boulova has held positions in agrifood associations (processed fruit and vegetables, seafood, cereals and malt, etc.), and international logistics. Next to her role as CEEREAL Executive Director, she will continue as SACAR Managing Director and Secretary General of EU association FRUCOM. She holds a degree in Economics and a Master from the College of Europe.
Together with Ms Boulova, Martina Zurli and Katri Saari will support CEEREAL’s Food Safety Working Group. Nina Elzer and Sofia Roth will continue supporting CEEREAL on Nutrition, Sustainability and Communications and data analysis, respectively.
